Located in Norman, Oklahoma, the owner of Pivot EM, Michael Zorba, is an environmental scientist and a licensed Realtor in Oklahoma. Michael has prepared Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for real estate transactions for over 10 years. We understand the Phase I ESA can help a buyer evaluate their environmental risk when acquiring a property. We also understand the Phase I ESA may only be necessary in order to check a box on a lender's application. No matter which direction you need to take, Pivot EM can meet your needs and your closing date. Michael has conducted Phase I ESAs on large and small properties, Brownfield and Greenfield properties, for HUD financed and non-HUD financed affordable housing projects, Small Business Administration loans, developers, lawyers and lenders, and for the private individual planning to build their own business.

Michael Zorba, a licensed Realtor in Oklahoma and a Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA℠), is an environmental planner and scientist with 20 years of combined experience including environmental planning and permitting, NEPA documentation, Brownfield and ODEQ Voluntary Cleanup Program projects, site investigation and characterization, site remediation, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, and landscape architectural design. His experience includes project management, environmental and technical report development, environmental due diligence and data collection, soil and groundwater sampling, and drilling and installation of groundwater monitoring and production wells.
He has prepared Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments for real estate transactions; environmental impact statements and environmental assessments for power and electric transmission line projects, highways, roadways, pipelines and other projects; Certificates of Environmental Compatibility for solar power projects and transmission lines (Arizona Corporation Commission); Plans of Development (Bureau of Land Management), fatal flaw analyses, visual resource reports, aquifer protection permits, 404 permit applications and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs).
Michael has solid planning and environmental compliance skills, is well organized, dependable, timely, trustworthy, and always brings a positive attitude to his work. He communicates clearly and concisely, and prefers working in a team-oriented environment.

Michael Zorba was appointed to the City of Norman's Historic District Commission in October 2018. The Commission prepares a comprehensive inventory of all historic resources and a plan to preserve those buildings. Each month, the Commission reviews historic district applications, and makes recommendations to City Council regarding historical preservation and "Certificates of Appropriateness". The Commission may oversee historical projects, conducts periodic review of status of designated landmarks and provides reports, and develops guidelines for reviewing applications.
Michael Zorba obtained his Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA℠) certification in August 2018. This certification is designed for professionals engaged in the inspection and evaluation of environmental risk in real property and is recognized by the Federal Government's Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) and the U.S. Air Force.
